An agency, built by people who have been running the rooms.
Marque exists because we kept watching the same thing happen. A program needed a speaker, a board needed an operator, a committee needed a judge, and the right person for it had no idea the opening existed.
The gap was on both sides.
Program directors spend an unreasonable amount of time looking for credible operators to put in front of a room. Meanwhile senior operators who would be excellent in that room have no way in, because the search happens through personal networks they are not part of.
Executive search solves the job. Coaching solves the preparation. Nobody was doing the part in between, which is the representation itself. Knowing who runs which program, what they need next season, and which of your clients belongs in front of them.
That is a talent agency. It is an old model, and it works. We are applying it to the parts of a career that sit outside the job.
Conflicts of interest
You should know what we have a stake in.
Some of us run, advise, or have a financial interest in programs, boards, and publications that a client might reasonably be placed into.
Where that is true of anything we put in front of you, we tell you before we put it in front of you, not afterwards. You can then decide what the introduction is worth.
A seat, a stage, or a byline that we control is never part of what you are buying. If we could simply hand you one, it would be worth what you paid for it and nothing more.
Talk to us.
For representation, the application is the fastest route and we reply to every one within five business days.
For anything else, including programs looking for speakers and boards looking for operators, write to us directly.
